A WHO survey shows that 80% of diseases and 50% of child deaths worldwide are related to poor drinking water quality. Due to water pollution, 50 million children die every year, 35 million suffer from cardiovascular disease, 70 million suffer from calculus disease, 90 million suffer from hepatitis, 30 million die from liver cancer and stomach cancer... Even unqualified stainless steel drinking cups, paper-plastic water cups and plastic water cups can harm our health. The quality of daily water is related to the health of each of us. In many cases, we cannot tell whether the water used at home is polluted or not. Today, I will show you the simple ways we can distinguish water quality in our daily lives.

How to distinguish water quality

1. To see if there are impurities in the water. Fill the water with a glass water bottle with higher transparency, and look at the light to see if there are suspended impurities and precipitated impurities in the water. If there are impurities in the water, it means that the water quality is too poor and does not meet the drinking standards. Or use tap water to make tea directly, and observe whether it turns black overnight. If it turns black, it means that the "iron" and "manganese" elements in the water exceed the standard, and you should choose a water purifier for treatment.

2. Smell whether the water smells. After receiving the water with reusable water bottles or bpa free water bottles, smell it. If there is a pungent odor, it means that the water contains residual chlorine or other harmful substances dissolved in it.

3. Taste whether the water tastes. Some contaminants cannot smell, but they can be distinguished by tasting. If there is an obvious unpleasant smell, the water may be polluted. You can feel the smell of bleach or not. If it has a strange smell, it means that there is residual chlorine in the water. If the taste is astringent, the hardness of the water is too high and the content of heavy metal ions is too high.

4. The laundry water does not foam. When washing clothes with detergent and soap, if you find that the water does not foam, but the foam only floats on the surface of the water, this indicates that the water hardness index is high.

5. Water is sticky. If you find that the water body has a certain viscosity, the specific manifestation is that the thread will hang when the faucet is off, the dishes and chopsticks can be threaded, and the hand feels slippery when rubbed, indicating that the water body may be contaminated by organic matter.

6. The water contains excessive bacteria. my country stipulates that the standard of drinking water is that the total number of bacteria in 1 ml of water does not exceed 100. If you have diarrhea and other symptoms after drinking, please consult a doctor in time.
