Life can get messy, especially if you have small children with you. Thank goodness your family's drinkware doesn't have to be!

Maps stainless steel kids' glasses are easy to clean and are the perfect companion to keep your child hydrated and healthy while they're working hard.

Here are 4 simple ways to keep your child's drinking glasses, bottles, straws and easy to sip lids sparkling clean and fresh:.

How to wash your hands

What you need.

Mild dishwashing soap

Dishwashing brush or sponge

PROCESS.

Squeeze some dishwashing liquid onto a sponge or dishwashing brush and scrub the inside and outside of the cups, lids and straws thoroughly. Rinse and repeat until thoroughly clean.

After washing, place the bottles, straws and lids upside down on a drying rack or dish towel and allow them to air dry completely to avoid any bacteria or other contaminants appearing.

Don't forget: when you start drying, leave the sliding reclosable drink spout on the lid half open. This allows air to circulate through the gap for thorough air drying.

water bottle

Dishwasher method

What you need.

Dishwasher tab

Dishwasher!

Process.

Simply place the bottle, lid and straw in the dishwasher separately! For best results, use the top rack so that the opening of the non-invertible is facing downwards.

All of Greens Steel's stainless steel dishes are completely dishwasher safe, making cleaning incredibly easy. The electropolished interior finish ensures that your child's bottle stays rust-free and keeps its contents pristine, even with frequent use of the dishwasher!

Finally, allow the pieces to dry completely before reassembling and storing in the cupboard.

Don't forget: if your children are helping you load the dishwasher, make sure they wash their hands thoroughly after touching the dishwasher detergent powder or label.

The "squeaky clean" method of deep cleaning

What you need.

Baking soda

Household vinegar

PROCESS.

Mix a tablespoon of baking soda and a large drop of vinegar in your child's stainless steel bottle and set aside.

The mixture will froth and foam, indicating that it is working its deep exfoliating magic. Once the mixture has settled, put the lid on and seal the bottle, then shake well.

Finally, pour out the vinegar mixture, rinse the bottle thoroughly and air dry.

What not to do...

As you know, stainless steel cutlery is very convenient, versatile and easy to clean and keep in tip-top condition.

Nevertheless, there are some contraindications you should remember when scrubbing your child's bottles ......

1. Do not use bleach to clean your stainless steel

Bleach is often the first choice for keeping your hardware spotless, but consider the limitations it places on your stainless steel drinkware. Because bleach is a strong oxidising agent, it does not work well with chromium oxide, the very ingredient that makes your steel "stainless"!

2. Don't use steel on steel

It's tempting to reach for a steel wool or spatula and go to town with those particularly stubborn food or coffee stains, but think twice before you do. Scratching the inside of a glass attracts stains and residue, thus forever putting the contents at risk of contamination.
